Hello Dragon Tale Students & Families,

Welcome to my blog site. I have wanted to share an important journey that me and my husband, kevin, are starting. Two weeks ago we drove out to NJ and brought home 3 silkie chicks. I'm sure you have questions like why? and why chickens? Well here on this blog I WANT you to ask me questions, comment on the pics, and see the journey of these cuties growing up. Here's a little something you may or may not know about me.....

When I was your age between 5-7yrs old. I lived on a small farm in Chapel Hill, NC. I raised and cared for a lot of different kinds of animals. We hatched chickens from eggs in a incubator, as well as ducks and geese. We use to have over 20 rabbits running freely in our yard. Although this was all exciting to meet new animals, what I enjoyed the most was getting to know their personalities and learning how to care for them . It takes responsibility, dedication, and work to care for any animal.Just like people, we have similarities between us and also everyone has a lot of different kind of needs. I hope you enjoy taking this journey with me.
